hey for all you football fans out there, what are we drawing today a superhero, yeah cool, yeah, all right austin you got your marker, yeah we hope you guys are gonna follow, along with us you have something to draw, with and some paper in front of you and, if we go too fast what can our friends, do pause the video yeah you guys can, always pause the video we're gonna try, to keep this art activity simple for, young artists how old are you four four, years old so we're gonna keep it nice, and simple and short, and we're also gonna use a bowl what are, you doing, yeah we're gonna use a bowl as a, template to trace around so be sure to, get a bowl that you don't worry about, you're not going to worry about getting, marker on or a pencil all right you, ready to start yeah okay let's do it all, right austin we got our paper and we got, our bowl and we put we're going to put, it down like this and we're going to, trace around it but we're not going to, trace all the way around it okay so, we're gonna start right here about, halfway, in the middle of our bowl and we're, gonna go all the way around and maybe, even a little further than we did over, here on this side look at that it's, perfect huh all right let me help you, we're gonna put it right here in the, middle, and we're gonna start, and we're gonna i'll put dots we're, gonna start right there and we're gonna, end over here, okay, so here put your arm, over here like that, and then push down and then trace around, it, yes, you're doing so good keep going and then, stop at that dot, good you did it and we're all done with, the bowl we're not going to use it, anymore so we'll put it off to the side, was that fun yeah yeah so we could, practice that because it was so much fun, huh yeah, all right awesome the next step is we're, going to put the face mask on our helmet, so we're going to start, over here and we're going to draw a, little line straight across, can you do it, straight across yeah out and then back, in, good and then you're going to stop then, we're going to start we're going to come, down to the middle right here and we're, going to draw this line, down, almost to the middle so i'll put a, little point for you right down here, so connect from there to the point, good job, you did it okay now we're gonna draw a, line right next to it that looks exactly, the same, can you do that match right here, to there and then down to here, that's super easy oh okay, good i'm glad it's super easy all right, okay now we're going to connect the, front and we're going to connect the, back with us with a u, good, awesome good job okay now we're going to, draw a j do you know how to draw j, we're going to start right here, right where it's bending and we're going, to draw a j that comes, down pretty far, like that, can you do that so we'll start right, there we're going to draw a j, that comes down to, here, wait was it right here yep right there, so come down and draw a hook shape, good and then hook in, good job now we're going to draw a line, just like that one, right next to it, okay, so we'll start right here and then draw, it down to there right next to, it good job now we're going to draw a, line str curved but kind of straight up, we're going to draw it straight over to, there to that point, good now the outside one is gonna do the, same thing it's gonna come up just like, that one, so we're gonna drop from there from this, point right here, all the way up to there, okay us now we're gonna draw the mask, coming in, so we draw a line from there to there, good and then the top one we're gonna, draw that one just like it going in, so you can draw from there to there and, then connect it, oh you want to let me make that better, there you, like that go, all right awesome now we're going to, connect this and matt we're going to, imagine it going through and then, connecting in here so we're going to, draw a line from there to there, it's really easy okay okay, it was really simple oh it is it does, look like an a huh, we're gonna do another one from there to, there, good, good job okay now we're gonna draw, another we're gonna draw two more lines, just like those so here i'm gonna show, you, i'm gonna draw from here, and then end right there and i'm gonna, do another one right next to it and i'll, help you in one sec, like that does that look like a football, helmet, so we're gonna draw the first one from, there to there, good and then we'll draw another one, from here to there, and then this last one from there to, there, good and then the another one from there, to there, we did it we did the face mask okay now, we need to draw the bottom of the helmet, so we're gonna put a little line right, here and this this does get a little, tricky but we'll do it slowly okay, oh i drew it for you that was a little, point let's draw a little longer there, we go and i'm going to draw mine a, little longer, good okay, now we're going to draw a line that this, is going to make the earpiece for the, helmet so now we're going to draw a line, from there to there, you like football don't you yeah here, from here, to there, good job all right austin now we're, gonna draw, a line in there so from there to there, in the small little, space, and then another one down here, so we're imagining this going through, the face mask, good and then we're going to draw the, earpiece, so it's going to come around, and make an s line, so we're going to draw an s line that, comes down like this and then up into, there so start there see how it comes, down i need you to do points in the, middle oh in the middle okay draw a line, that first comes down to there, good and then come back up and connect, it to there, yes, whoa that's an s line for sure i like it, okay and then there's a little hole so, that you're when you have the helmet on, you can hear through the hole okay so, we're gonna do a circle, right, there where the ear goes so i'll put a, point so draw a circle right there, good, and then let's do two more circles and, these are for the chin straps they're, little snaps so one circle right there, yeah that's a good spot, and then another circle back here, oh that's so awesome okay there's one, more thing up here at the front let's, draw a little line, comes out right here the front, and this is gonna hold the face mask, onto the helmet okay and then we're, gonna draw a hook, comes around and in, can you do it, all by yourself good job, all right and then the last little part, is there's a pad right here that goes on, the back of the helmet so i'll put a, point right here and a point right here, and look draw this shape yeah and we're, done austin good job on your helmet give, it five, boom give me another five, boom and another five, we're gonna leave our helmets just like, this because our our friends can draw, their own team on the side of the helmet, so their favorite football team they can, put the logo on the side and then color, it with their team colors cool yeah yeah, now it's okay their helmets look a, little different right, yeah and it's okay if your helmets look, different from ours too because what's, the most important thing to have fun, yeah to have fun and we'll see you later, our friends goodbye, give me five, boom boom boom another one let me give, you more, more, put them up, nope, put them up i gotta give you lots of, fires, bye
JackTheDonkey.com. A Socially Responsible Social NetworkHi there,
My name is David Katz and I have recently launched a social network called JackTheDonkey.com. JackTheDonkey.com is the community where your time online supports the charity of your choice. Or what some call, a socially responsible social network.
Jack donates more than half of all ad revenue generated by an individual's time online to their choice of more than 20 charities from across Canada and the US, and now the UK to the tune of 1.1 cents every impression (paid at par depending where the charity is registered...or at least that is the theory...the advertisers to date have been friends and family so I have been covering the 1.1 cents myself).
The number of impressions and how you create them is up to you. Simply sharing, viewing or commenting on pictures or 'deep thoughts' makes cents!
Jack also takes a 'softsell' approach to keeping the charities top of mind among existing supporters, while trickling into the consciousness of potential supporters, as the charities' Twitter feeds have recently been incorporated into their supporters' personal profile pages...viewable to the community.
Yes, the name will always sound a little untraditional, but JackTheDonkey.com is working to connect with individuals who are traditionally unengaged from anything remotely related to volunteerism and fundraising.
There is another key component to the site that we are rolling out in the near future which will provide an additional stream of funds for the charities on jackthedonkey.com.
Please join us: http://www.jackthedonkey.com/Register1.html (and remember to check your spam folder for the activation email).
Attached is a copy of my first piece of press that I was able to generate locally earlier this summer:
http://null/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ecjnews%2Ecom%2Fimages%2Fstories%2FHeebonics%2FJune_25_09%2Epdf&urlhash=PfME&_t=disc_detail_link
Attached are also links to a couple reviews of Jack that were posted recently on a couple startup related sites:
http://null/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fstartupmeme%2Ecom%2Fjackthedonkey-jacks-every-visit-of-yours-to-support-your-favorite-charity%2F&urlhash=yJkm&_t=disc_detail_link
http://null/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ekillerstartups%2Ecom%2FSocial-Networking%2Fjackthedonkey-com-support-a-charity-the-social-way&urlhash=p3FU&_t=disc_detail_link
www.JackTheDonkey.com is free for the charities and members of the community, but not for the corporate sponsors/advertisers. For corporations, this is what many now refer to as 'cause marketing for the web 2.0 generation'.
Thanks in advance,
David Katz
